The Game of Life

We can live out our days keeping our true selves discreet Just to accommodate what society perceives But in the end, it's not worth halting our dreams

Okay so here’s the thing
Life is like a game with no winning team
You see, we all end up perishing
So what does this mean?

We can get disqualified by attempting to cheat
Or we can play by the rules and keep our seat
But are the rules really fair, or just a deceit?
You see, we all end up losing, so is victory still sweet?

We can live out our days keeping our true selves discreet
Just to accommodate what society perceives
But in the end, it’s not worth halting our dreams
Because there is no winner, just a shared destiny

The destiny of becoming history
The afterlife will forever be a mystery
I guess the moral of the story is, don’t live your life in misery
You can’t please everyone, and until you’re gone, no one is listening.

So maybe losing is winning…
